Lake Pleasant pictures i took today...more like lake hot as hell....phoenix is not a place i would want to live...give me the mtns any day....but i had a great hike....I left the dogs at home because of the heat and im glad i did....well I will post again this coming weekend as I work the next 3 nights....

Prescotts "Roughstock Explosion" was great today. The weather couldn't have been better and the stock was ready for action! The pictures are just a few of the reasons i dont do this...There was only on close call...and that is the picture of the guy getting drug through the dirt....And remember non of the animals including men were injured in the making of this blog....!

Prescott Arizona, A small town with alot more to offer and see than i had realized, thats for sure. I will be here for another 8 weeks, then back to Colorado Springs for an assignment there or two to hunt, then off to Alaska! Im not sure where yet, either Anchorage, Cordova, Seward or Juneau....Ok Ok well maybe not then, who knows where the hell i will be!? ....I just want to see it before its gone. The Pictographs on here were from a hiking area i have started running with the dogs...And no its not just graffiti, Its from Native Americans from years ago and is actually chipped into the stone. Pretty cool how they can last so long with all the heat and weather here. The statues are from old town prescott around the square. Well Im heading to a bull and bronc riding rodeo with some friends this saturday so check back for more pictures.....Life is Good!!!!! Hell life is Great!!!

Prescott Arizona! Home sweet home for the next 13 weeks.....It was quite a whirlwind packing, moving and heading to arizona without the dogs for a few days to get my RN arizona license then back to Colorado Springs to pick up the girls. I do already miss the Rockies but will be back someday soon. For now Prescott looks pretty cool...different from what im used to but i will enjoy the small town atmosphere. The one picture is a picture of my apartment complex built into the side of a hill....i had antelope up above my apartment on the hillside that i could see from my balcony this am...that was nice, tempting but nice! I almost got thrown for a loop though...i didnt know that arizona doesnt adjust for daylight saving time.....somehow my phone didnt change time....damn things smarter than i am....well im going to go for now....im stealing someone elses internet service and have no idea when they may shut it off....cheap ass i know...LOL....oh well.....I start this coming monday march 10th for orientation.....off to take the girls for a walk....

Snowshoeing in Rocky Mountain Park never gets old. I went today with 4 friends from work and we had a blast.....The snow is now a 48" base and they had 8" of fresh snow last night. The wind was blowing in areas pretty bad but most of the trip was in the trees so it wasnt too bad. Here are a few pictures from today with more to follow im sure!

Well this is what a Polar Bear Archery shoot looks like in Colorado.....Actually the first picture is a look of frustration....so close yet so far away....This was the first 3D archery shoot i have gone to where we actually kept score.....I didnt do tooooo bad....huh Dennis....I promise I WONT LET ANYONE KNOW I BEAT YOU! Oooops sorry........LOL...really it was all in fun....and his sights are off.....no....really they are.....But since this is my blog....you will never know when or how often he beats me....LOL LOL......The temperature was perfect...about 25 degrees. As you can see we weren't the only brave souls....A fresh snow last night made it a very beautiful day.

NO SHIT!

Went snowshoeing in the back country of Rocky Mountain National Park today. The temperature was near 50.....maybe warmer than florida today...LOL. I hiked 8 miles to the top of what is called flat top. The view was...well....you see!

Here are a few more pictures from the hike up to Palmer Lakes......Snow angels are still fun to make....except try doing it with two dogs trying to pounce all over you covered in snow!!!
