The elk hunting is continuing, we are in the middle of a warm spell and between that and the mosquitoes, it has been a little rough finding the elk.....but a cool spell this friday and weekend should help us out.....I took a few interesting pictures this am.....The mountain lion tracks were from where we hunt...and was seen by two other hunters yesterday while we were there. It was stalking some mule deer the other two guys were also stalking....Yikes! Also for you hunters the mule deer pictures are just a few of the typical mulies of the area.....elk pictures to follow soon..................I HOPE!

Well today was the first day for archery elk....we saw 20+ elk ....one of which was a tremendous 6x6 Bull that would make the record books......The Pictures of Pikes Peak I took on the way home right after a storm and it had snow on top....I dont think the Peak has looked any more beautiful.....

just a few more pics from our trip up mt. evans. this was the kids first trip up to 14,000+ ft.....the one picture is of a yellow bellied marmot that posed for us. the other interesting picture is that of jarrod helping coors light get that fresh mountain spring taste! no not really he just looks like he is!

Well the kids have left for home, but we had a great time....here are a few pics from pikes peak and the cog railway up to the peak. Im sure going to miss them! Can't wait to see them at Christmas........Jarrod and Kiley really thought it was cool when the cloud rolled in...they were right, it dropped from about 50 degrees to 32 degrees in a matter of minutes!

Well the Kids are having a great time.....were having lots of fun.....here are a few pictures....ill put more in when i have more time....The ground squirrel was the kids favorite picture....I also threw in pics of their first elk sighting.

Here are a few pictures from red rock canyon, the one is of the old quarry that they cut stone from years ago to build houses in manitou and colorado city. A couple rock climbers were out on some rock nearby.
